About the museum
The museum is housed on the top floor of Palazzo Rho, an elegant late-Gothic building overlooking the main square of Borghetto Lodigiano, which today is the seat of the town hall. It is dedicated to the farming and craft activities that until a few decades ago shaped life on the farmsteads and in the villages of the Lodigiano.
The collection numbers around six hundred pieces from the farmsteads and workshops of Borghetto Lodigiano and the surrounding area. It includes a wide variety of tools and implements illustrating trades that have now disappeared, such as the cobbler, the blacksmith, the carpenter, the bricklayer and the milker.
The objects are displayed on panels hung on the walls and divided by category, to document the many activities of the area. The museum is part of the Sistema museale lodigiano.
