About the museum
The picture gallery holds more than 200 paintings on sacred subjects, dating from the 15th to the 18th century, housed in the church and convent of the Capuchins of Voltaggio, on the border between Liguria and Piedmont. The works were brought together in the convent at the end of the 19th century at the wish of Father Pietro Repetto.
The artists represented include Luca Cambiaso, Domenico Fiasella, Sinibaldo Scorza, Bernardo Strozzi, Agostino Bombelli and Paolo Pagani.
The church and the gallery are currently closed to visitors and events because of renovation work on the convent. The Municipality of Voltaggio asks visitors to call or write before planning a visit.
