About the museum
Pēteris Graudulis is a well-known wood sculptor who received the Order of the Three Stars, Fifth Class. The museum displays the master's works from the very first to the most recent. Graudulis practised wood carving for more than forty years, and his works used almost every tree that grows in the Baltic region — oak, birch, pine, lilac, acacia, maple, aspen and others. His workshop, now the museum, and the bathhouse were built by his own hands, and all the interior finishing is in wood.
