About the museum
The Zeltiņu muzejs (Zeltiņi Museum) was founded in 2007 as a place to store the heritage of the parish's history. Here you can also learn about the history of the school founded by the pastor Ernsts Gliks and about the life stories of local people.
The exhibition “Ziemeļu zvaigzne” (Northern Star) is dedicated to the local figure – the actor, singer and King of the Jokdari (King of the Jesters) Edgars Liepiņš, whose childhood land is Zeltiņi. Other exhibitions tell about everyday life in recent times: they show the uniforms of various armies, household objects, a room of a local resident from the pre-Soviet era and a school classroom.
