About the museum
The museum operates in the family house of the Čiurlionis family in Druskininkai, the family of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis. The house became a memorial museum in 1963 and is a branch of the Nacionalinis M. K. Čiurlionio dailės muziejus (M. K. Čiurlionis National Art Museum).
The homestead has four buildings: a ticket office with biographical material and souvenirs, two authentic Čiurlionis family outbuildings where many family objects and instruments are kept, and a gallery. The gallery shows the artist’s works, plays recordings of his music and hosts exhibitions by visiting artists. An apple orchard with flower beds grows around the homestead.
The museum is closed for reconstruction; updated exhibitions are planned in a few years’ time. Until then, educational programmes and exhibitions take place in the V. K. Jonyno galerija (V. K. Jonynas Gallery), Turistų g. 9.
