About the museum
The gallery holds most of the works of the artist Vytautas Kazimieras Jonynas (1907–1997), which he donated to Lithuania. The gallery is a branch of the Nacionalinis M. K. Čiurlionio dailės muziejus.
The exhibition shows drawings, graphic art, paintings, book illustrations, stained glass and sculptures. Photographs of churches and monumental architecture designed by the artist, and film material, introduce his work.
Part of the artist's private space has also been recreated in the gallery: the study he used during his summer stays in 1989–1997, his bedroom and the attic studio. Temporary exhibitions, concerts, lectures and meetings with artists are held here. While the Čiurlionis memorial museum is being reconstructed, its educational programmes also take place here.
