About the museum
The Meškinų muziejus (Teddy Bear Museum) in Vilnius is located on the second floor of the Raganiukės teatras building and is presented as the only teddy bear museum in Lithuania. It displays more than 3,000 plush teddy bears from all over the world, some of them dating from 1930 to the present day.
The museum consists of several themed areas: a retro corridor of stories that traces the teddy bear's journey from the first examples to modern design; the Margarete Steiff room, with the sewing machine and workplace of the creator of the first teddy bear; a space room with antique bears among the galaxies; a suitcase room with bears who became heroes of literature and film; a glowing corner called “Bear Rock”; an interactive panda education space; and a cloud-bear zone for photos.
