About the museum
Løp gård has a history going back to the Iron Age. Nordlandsmuseet took over the main houses in 2004, and Bodø municipality carried out an extensive restoration in the 1980s. The main house is furnished as it was after its last residents, the sisters Hanna and Arnolda Krogh Hansen, known as “Frøknene på Løp” (the Misses of Løp). Several layers of old wallpaper have been preserved, and in the garden there are berry and flower beds.
In summer there is an outdoor café and garden where you can get coffee or tea, and lemon cake is served in the Mormorstua (grandmother’s room). The farm holds events such as Afternoon Tea on some weekends, Møsbrømlefse and the autumn ghost evenings (spøkelseskvelder).
