About the museum

The Beskidzkie Centrum Narciarstwa im. Adama Małysza opened on 14 July 2026 in Kopczyński Park in the centre of Wisła, right next to the amphitheatre. Construction of the new two-storey building began in August 2024, and the town commissioned the Kraków company New Amsterdam to create the multimedia permanent exhibition. The entire investment was co-financed with EU funds.

The centre’s predecessor was the private museum Zimowit, which for many years kept mementos of Wisła’s ski jumpers. The most important part of the collection today is the set of Adam Małysz’s trophies, including four Crystal Globes, Olympic and world championship medals and suits. Alongside them, more than eighty exhibits document the beginnings of skiing, among them wooden skis from the late 19th century, equipment from the 1930s and traditional karple.

The exhibition is divided into thematic zones: the geography and tradition of the Beskids, Adam Małysz’s sporting career, his passion for rallying with the car from the Dakar Rally, the history of skiing, and a gallery of regional champions, from Jan Raszka to today’s jumpers. Visitors can use ski-jump and downhill simulators, VR sets, a model of the Beskids and miniatures of Wisła, and play a game with an RFID wristband. A Beskid-themed playground is provided for the youngest visitors.
