About the museum
The Fabryka Robotów in Moszna is a private sculpture museum showing huge steel figures inspired by science fiction and fantasy films. All of them were built by hand by one man, Sebastian Kucharski, and the main material is scrap from cars and other steel waste intended for recycling.
Because of strong media interest and the number of people who wanted to see the works being made, the works were opened to visitors in 2016. In 2017 the venue received the OROT distinction in the competition for the Best Tourist Product of the Opole Voivodeship, and later it also received certificates from the Polish Tourist Organisation (POT) and a prize in the “Cuda Polski” (Wonders of Poland) plebiscite. The artist was awarded the honorary badge “Za Zasługi dla Turystyki” (For Merit to Tourism) by the Minister of Sport and Tourism.
In the museum you can see, among other things, an authentic sword used in a Predator film and the hydrogen cell that powered the Terminator T-800. On site you can talk to the artist and learn the story of his passion. Group tours are guided by the author of the works himself.
