About the museum
The Muzeum Górnictwa Uzdrowiskowego (Spa Mining Museum), also called the Muzeum Zdrojowe (Spa Museum), opened in September 2014, marking the 260th anniversary of the first capture of the upper mineral springs. It was initiated by the Uzdrowisko Świeradów-Czerniawa (Świeradów-Czerniawa Spa) from the PGU Group. The museum is located in the cellars of the historic Dom Zdrojowy (Spa House) at ul. 3 Maja 1.
The exhibition tells the story of the capture of mineral waters and the development of the spa. Visitors can see geological and historical collections, spa-themed wall paintings, exhibits relating to mining, and sandstone sculptures, including an image of St Barbara, patron saint of miners.
A combined ticket with the museum also gives entry to the Clock Tower (Wieża Zegarowa) of the Dom Zdrojowy. The museum is open all year round, and new opening hours have applied since 1 May 2026.
