About the museum
The Museum of Technology and Village Crafts in Zapusta is a private venture of Aneta and Krzysztof Tyl, opened in 2012. It is housed in a 19th-century building of the przysłup type in the village of Zapusta in the Izera Foothills.
The collections relate to the history of the village and the region: agricultural machines and tools, everyday objects such as irons, spinning wheels and lamps, militaria, including bayonets, historic devices, elements of costume and regional items.
As well as exhibitions, the museum organises demonstrations of traditional crafts, and the owners also run agritourism services. Visits are possible after prior arrangement with the owners.
