About the museum
The museum operates within the military club of the the 14. Suwalski Dywizjon Artylerii Przeciwpancernej (anti-tank artillery battalion) and is housed in military buildings at ul. Wojska Polskiego. It presents the military heritage of the region, especially the history of the units stationed in Suwałki.
The indoor exhibition rooms show mementos of the military units connected with the town, above all of the Suwalska Brygada Kawalerii: militaria, historical banners, uniforms and items of soldiers' equipment.
The outdoor exhibition of heavy military equipment complements this. Visitors can see, among other things, a ZiS-3 anti-tank gun, howitzers, T-34-85 and T-72 tanks, armoured personnel carriers, the ASU-85 self-propelled gun and a rocket launcher on a truck chassis.
