Muzeum Kowalstwa w Wojciechowie

The only blacksmithing museum in Poland, set up on the top floor of the 16th-century Arian Tower in Wojciechów.

Opening hoursAdmission 16 zł

About the museum

The Blacksmithing Museum (Muzeum Kowalstwa) has operated since 1993 on the top floor of the Arian Tower (Wieża Ariańska) in Wojciechów. The building also houses the municipal cultural centre and a regional museum. It is the only museum in Poland devoted exclusively to blacksmithing.

Visitors can see a fully equipped former forge with a hearth, anvil and bellows, metal utensils for everyday use such as grace and motyki (hoes), wasąg and wooden harrows, as well as replicas of medieval weapons and horseshoes for horses and cattle. The museum has one of the richest collections of forged artistic products in Poland, made by dozens of blacksmiths from Poland and abroad; they include, among others, a forged aquarium, a patera and the iron belt of virtue (żelazny pas cnoty). The newest attraction is a holographic projection on the history of blacksmithing, its tools and metal-shaping techniques.

Organised groups can take part in a lesson on the history of Polish crafts. In 2025 the museum received the certificate of a family-friendly tourist venue.
