About the museum
The Museum of the Magura National Park is housed in the Jan Szafrański Education and Museum Centre in Krempna, at the park’s administrative headquarters. The facility opened in 2005 as a centre for nature education and exhibitions, presenting the natural collections of the park area and its surroundings.
The main attraction is the exhibition hall with a half-hour nature show, which tells the story of how the present state of nature in this area took shape. The interactive exhibition on three levels of corridors has new displays that invite visitors to discover nature with all their senses.
The building also houses a nature room adapted for workshops (for up to 50 people) and fieldwork, a conference room for groups of up to 100 people, and a reading room with a collection of nature materials about the region. The centre also offers educational programmes for schools and nature events.
