About the museum
The Muzeum Miodu i Pszczelarstwa (Honey and Beekeeping Museum) was created in 2006 in a village hall in Skowarcz and is run by the Rejonowe Koło Pszczelarzy w Pszczółkach (District Beekeepers’ Circle in Pszczółki). From February 2014 until autumn 2025 it was located in the basement of the Gminna Biblioteka Publiczna (Municipal Public Library) in Pszczółki; it is now housed in the village hall in Kolnik.
The exhibition shows how honey is made, from the work of the bees and the beekeeper to the finished jar. Visitors see old hives, beekeeping clothing, equipment for extracting honey and panels about the life of bees. The guided tour covers the work of the beekeeper, the varieties of Pszczółki honey (May, June and July), the role of bees in the environment and the decline in their numbers. The programme also includes a honey tasting and making a candle from beeswax.
