About the museum
The Community Museum of the Gmina Niebylec operates at the school complex in Konieczkowa. It was established in 2012 on the initiative of Grzegorz Smela, a councillor of the Gmina Niebylec council, and it opened during the Museum Night on 19 May 2012.
The collection contains many souvenirs of residents of the area and of Second World War soldiers: Senior Sergeant Jan Ziomek, a defender of Lwów; the personal driver of Major Henryk Sucharski; and a Home Army (AK) soldier; and Plutonowy (Sergeant) Adam Antonik, a soldier of the 2nd Polish Corps, who fell at Monte Cassino.
Many everyday objects and technical relics have also been gathered here, such as radios, typewriters, sewing machines and scales, as well as religious paintings and old press. The Volunteer Fire Brigade (OSP) from Niebylec handed over old hand pumps to the museum.
