About the museum
The Hiša dediščine (Heritage House) stands in the small village of Mlače, right beside Slovenske Konjice. It holds a rich ethnological collection of objects that take visitors back to the time when our ancestors lived. The collection consists mainly of objects that bear witness to the lives of farmers, winegrowers and craftsmen; the materials they are made from show the close bond between people and nature.
Over the years the villagers gathered many objects relating to the work and life of their ancestors. As they had nowhere to display them, they set up the Heritage House for this very purpose in 2004. The museum is run by the Mlače Tourist Association. Visits to the ethnological collection must be arranged in advance.
