About the museum

In Vransko, in the “Dolina zelenega zlata” (Valley of Green Gold), the private GROM collection shows the development of two-wheelers and milestones of world and Slovene motorcycling history. The museum has been operating since 1997.

More than 140 motorcycles are on display, from well-known world brands to rare unique pieces. Highlights include the pioneering Puch models from 1906 and 1912, the ABC from 1919, and classics of the 1920s such as Indian, Harley-Davidson, Praga BD and Victoria. The art-deco Majestic 350 and the unique Ner-a-Car also fascinate visitors. The Puch “N” Typ from 1912 won first prize at the Villa d’Este concours in 2015.

Machines from the 1930s include Ariel, BSA, AJS, Guzzi and Gilera, as well as the four-cylinder Indian 437, Böhmerland and Standard. Special sections are devoted to racing and military motorcycles. Authentic pre-war registration plates, motorcycle equipment, helmets, medals, stamps and posters are also on display. Besides the motorcycles there is a collection of old toys.
