About the museum
The extensive collection shows more than 300 years of farming and winegrowing life of the Pavličič family. It is complemented by authentic folk music, selected ethnological objects and stories about Prlekija, its people, dialect and local historical events.
Visitors walk through the former farm workrooms, full of old machines, devices and equipment, sit on carved chairs, try out the comfort of an old bed and try on a former folk costume; skilled visitors can play traditional folk instruments, the tamburizzas (tamburice), or dance to local rhythms. The period of the Ten-Day War in 1991 (vojna za Slovenijo), whose events took place right here, is also presented. In May, white daffodils bloom in the nearby meadow.
