About the museum
The Casa de los Poetas in Soria is an interactive exhibition space devoted to the great lyric poets who wrote about this city: Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer, Antonio Machado and Gerardo Diego. It is located on the third floor of the building of the Círculo de Amistad Numancia, on Calle del Collado, a historic social club that Machado himself frequented during his years in Soria.
The route combines audiovisuals, sound recordings, objects that can be handled, photographs and books. The Bécquer section opens with an audiovisual about the legend of the “Rayo de luna” and brings together editions such as “Poesías completas”, while the Machado section includes documents loaned by the Fundación Antonio Machado. In the part dedicated to Gerardo Diego, the piano from the Casino that the poet played for members in the early 1920s is preserved.
