About the museum
The Telesforo Bravo Visitor Centre is in the town of La Orotava, about 25 km from the northern boundary of Teide National Park. It is part of the Telesforo Bravo Administrative and Visitor Centre, a complex that houses the national park's administrative offices, the visitor centre itself and an ornamental garden with native Tenerife flora.
Its exhibition covers the island in two ways. The first is by altitude, from the coast to the summit. The second is historical and draws on the views of distinguished visitors who passed through Tenerife. Together they serve as an introduction both to the island and to Teide National Park, and make a good stop before climbing to Las Cañadas.
