About the museum
The Museographic Collection of the Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus the Nazarene occupies a building adjoining the brotherhood's chapel in La Bañeza. The Junta de Castilla y León recognised the collection as a museum collection by resolution of 21 February 2014 and entered it in the regional register of museums and museum collections.
Its aim is to display the brotherhood's images, the floats on which they are carried in procession during Holy Week, and the altarpiece of the neighbouring chapel, together with the objects kept there. Some pieces, such as the image of the Verónica, the mantle of the Ecce Homo and that of Nuestra Señora de la Amargura, are on display in the museum all year round.
