About the museum
The Fundación Miguel Echauri is a cultural body based in a 17th-century mansion on calle San Antón, in the historic centre of Pamplona. It was set up around 2010 around the figure of the painter Miguel Echauri, born in Pamplona in 1927, whose retrospective exhibition was held at the Museo de Navarra in 2009.
Its aims are to promote cultural life in the historic centre, support young artistic creation and make the painter's work known. To this end it organises exhibitions, lectures and publications. The shows take place in the room known as Galería Fermín Echauri II, in the same building.
The foundation holds works it owns, some of which are regularly displayed at the premises, including two ancient bronze sculptures of Hercules. The chair is held by Fermín Echauri, the painter's brother.
