About the museum
The MuBBla houses the textile heritage of the Paso Blanco, one of the Holy Week brotherhoods of Lorca. It is located in the Santo Domingo Monumental Complex, a site dating from the 16th to the 18th century, and displays silk and gold embroidery, including works by the Talleres Virgen de la Amargura. According to local tourist information, the collection exceeds 1,500 hand-embroidered pieces, six of which are declared Properties of Cultural Interest.
Next to the museum is the Rosary Chapel, built between 1707 and 1740 and known for its frescoed dome and its gilded high altarpiece, restored after the damage of the Civil War.
The website of Lorca Taller del Tiempo, which manages the tickets, also offers a virtual tour of the museum.
