About the museum
The Museo de Alamedilla is a local museum opened in 2007 in the Granada municipality of Alamedilla. It is housed on the second floor of the town's day centre for older people. Its collection has been built mainly from contributions by local residents.
The museum has two rooms. The ethnology room brings together farm implements and household utensils of all kinds, many of them restored, as well as some furniture from the town hall that was no longer in use. The prehistory room displays fossils found in the municipality, among them an ammonite weighing around 40 kilograms.
The museum is looked after by a local resident and can be visited by appointment, requested through the town council.
