About the museum
The museum was founded in Villaluenga de la Vega, in the province of Palencia, on the initiative of local residents who were radio enthusiasts. It brings together a collection of preserved and restored appliances that traces the history of broadcasting from the 1930s to the present day.
The holdings include more than 400 radio receivers, some from the 1920s, as well as record players and other communication equipment. The exhibition is complemented by posters, biographies of radio personalities and historic sound recordings.
One of its most striking corners is a re-creation of a 1970s radio studio, with material donated by Radio Nacional de España (RNE) in Palencia. The museum also has an amateur radio station and, according to tourist guides, offers visits, screenings and activities.
