About the museum
The Museu de la Mar forms part of the Museu de la Ciutat de Castelló (MUCC) and is located in the Grau, the city's seafaring district. Its permanent collection presents the seafaring culture and tradition of Castelló through 274 pieces and more than 70 photographs: boats, plans, tools, utensils and fishing gear.
The self-guided visit lasts about 45 minutes and is supported by display panels, pieces and models, with texts in Castilian and Valencian. Groups can book guided visits of about 60 minutes, and the museum also offers a virtual educational visit and, occasionally, theatrical visits around the Grau.
