About the museum
The Museo Ralli in Marbella opened in 2000 and is part of an international network of Ralli museums, with venues in Punta del Este (Uruguay), Santiago de Chile, Cesarea (Israel) and Marbella. Its origin lies in the collection of the patron Harry Recanati and his wife Martine, who put their private collection at the service of society. In 2000 the non-profit Fundación Harry Recanati was created to continue this work.
The Colección Ralli brings together painting, sculpture and graphic works of contemporary art, above all Latin American and European. In its early days it included European art from the 15th to the 18th centuries, which was largely replaced by contemporary works. The collection stands out for its support of emerging Latin American artists who are now key figures.
The museum is in the Urbanización Coral Beach, on the N-340 road between Marbella and Puerto Banús, with direct access from the seafront promenade. It keeps free admission and combines the permanent collection with temporary exhibitions, dialogue visits and workshops for children and families.
