About the museum
The museum occupies a late 19th-century house on Calle Don Eloy in Ceutí. Its owner, Tomás García Lorente, used it as a canning factory and private home. It takes its name from the seven chimneys of the canning factories that still rise above the village.
The interior is a reconstruction of the house, with the rooms arranged around two courtyards. The ground floor preserves the factory office, the canning and tinsmithing sections, steam machinery and utensils for transporting fruit, for farm work and for loading with animals. The first floor recreates domestic life: living room, kitchen, bedroom, school and games, and weights and measures.
Its most distinctive feature is that many objects are accompanied by period photographs showing how they were used in Ceutí and the people who worked in the village's traditional trades.
