About the museum
The Museu Guilleries is the exhibition and conservation space for the historical and landscape heritage of Sant Hilari Sacalm. Its aim is to make the environment of the Guilleries massif known and to help people understand and respect it, so that it can be conserved, protected and improved.
It is located in the old town, inside the building of the Cooperativa, built in 1920 as the headquarters of the roders. The museum presents the physical and natural environment of the comarca through dioramas, diagrams, photographs, videos and stuffed fauna. In summer 2020 it reopened after a restructuring that allows visitors to tour it on their own with the help of a visitor's handbook.
Beyond the exhibition, the museum wants to be a living museum: it organises and leads routes around the municipality, as well as workshops and fairs related to nature and environmental education.
