Temporarily closed (expected until 2027). The museum has been closed for renovation and rebuilding since autumn 2025. Reopening is expected in spring 2027; the exact date has not been set.

About the museum

Ängelholms Flygmuseum was founded in 2004 by F 10 Kamratförening (the F 10 Comrades' Association) and tells the story of the Skåne Air Wing F 10 (Skånska flygflottiljen). Since 2024 the museum has been run by Ängelholm Municipality with the support of the comrades' association. It is located in Valhall Park near Barkåkra, on the grounds of the former wing, in premises that were previously used by the fighter aircraft division.

F 10 was formed temporarily in 1940 at Bulltofta outside Malmö and moved in 1945 to the newly built Barkåkra, near Ängelholm. The wing was based there until 2002. During the Cold War it was an important part of the air defence of southern Sweden and flew, among other aircraft, the J 29 Flygande Tunnan, the J 35 Draken and the AJS 37 Viggen. When the flying school in Ljungbyhed closed in 1998, the training was moved to F 10.

The collection includes aircraft that have been in service with the wing, from the J 22 to the JAS 39 Gripen, and exhibitions on engines, flight safety equipment, aviation radio, meteorology and ground defence. The museum also has flight simulators. It is currently closed for renovation and for rebuilding of the reception, shop and café, and reopening is expected in spring 2027.
