About the museum
Autoseum is a private motor museum in Simrishamn in Österlen, which opened in 2008. The museum describes itself as one of Europe's leading motor museums and houses over 350 vehicles on more than 6,000 square metres. The exhibition is constantly renewed, with new vehicles and themes each season.
Ten years after the opening, in 2018, Nils Oscar Nilsson and his father-in-law Nils Oscar Nordström, who created the financial foundations for the museum, were honoured with the inauguration of Nils-Oscar Palace, a Las Vegas-style showroom with unique vehicles, slot machines and roulette tables.
In addition to cars, motorcycles, mopeds and aircraft, there are several collections made available through donations and special exhibitions: L.A. TOYs, a toy museum for children; Ernas leksaker (Erna's toys); Frasses och Mariannes musikmuseum with gramophones and musical boxes; and an extensive model railway. The museum also has Sweden's only exhibition of model aircraft of its kind, a nostalgic kiosk from the 1970s and 1980s, and an outdoor exhibition about Sunes bilskrot (Sune's scrapyard).
