About the museum
Bolindermuseet shows products made in Bolinder's factories between 1845 and 1956. For more than a hundred years Bolinder's workshops were a large and important company in Sweden, first on Kungsholmen in Stockholm, later also in Kallhäll, and in the final years only in Kallhäll. The factory in Kallhäll was Järfälla's first large modern industrial establishment.
The museum grew out of the collecting of Kåre Andersson. It began in the early 1980s with the lid of a steam engine that he found at a market, and he then went on looking for objects connected with Bolinder in Sweden and abroad. The museum is run as an association and since 2017 has had its premises at Gjutarplan in central Kallhäll, under the library.
