About the museum
Brunflo farming museum is at Brunflo local heritage farm in Lillgrytan, two kilometres north of Brunflo, on a small rise west of the railway. The farm has ancient roots, with a main building from the late 18th century, and was called Lill-Grytan. It has previously been both a coaching inn and a court house (tingshus).
The heritage farm is run by Brunflo local heritage society and is a stop on the St Olav Way (S:t Olavsleden), where there is a box with a stamp for pilgrim passports. Visitors are always welcome to experience the surroundings of the site, and visits to the farming museum can be booked through the chairman of the society.
In summer the society runs a café at the heritage farm, with a music café in July and storytelling evenings in August, and normally a harvest market is held in September and a Christmas market at the end of November. The meeting hall Logen and a bakehouse can be rented during the summer half-year.
