About the museum

The activity was started in 1969 in Blixterboda by two private individuals and was run as a hobby railway until 1977, when the association was formed. Many locomotives and wagons were donated by various industries, while others were bought. Passenger wagons in the simple style of the industries have been remade from preserved pictures.

By 1987 the activity had grown so much that the municipality offered the association land just outside Frövi. The move to the site at Hagaberg began in 1988, and the following year terracing and the construction of a narrow-gauge railway of industrial railway character began.

The track is today about one kilometre long and runs from the main station at Hagaberg through forest and over farmland, past the meeting place Granskogen, down to Talludden station by Lake Väringen. All work is done on a voluntary basis, and in summer 2026 no traffic was run due to a shortage of staff.
