About the museum
The Inlandsbanemuseet is in the old railway station in Sorsele, where the Inlandsbanan railway passes. The museum is run by Sorsele Municipality and shares premises with the municipality's visitor centre, so visitors can get both tourist information and an insight into the history of the line in the same place.
The museum is open during the summer season. The 2026 season started on 1 June, and opening times vary during the summer, with the longest opening hours from mid-June to mid-August.
