About the museum
The harbour museum is located in Kyrkbacken harbour on Ven in the Öresund and shows objects from fishing and seafaring in Kyrkbacken. The collection includes clinker-built wooden boats, so-called snipor, whose building technique is listed on UNESCO's list of intangible cultural heritage.
The museum opens for the season at the end of June and is open at weekends. In an adjoining hodda, a small fishing shed, the photo exhibition Fisket och människor i Kyrkbacken (Fishing and People in Kyrkbacken) has been shown.
