About the museum

Naturum Kullaberg is the visitor centre for the Kullaberg nature reserve and lies by Kullen lighthouse at the far end of Kullaberg, facing the northern entrance to the Öresund. The facility is owned by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (Naturvårdsverket) and managed by the County Administrative Board of Skåne (Länsstyrelsen Skåne). It belongs to the network of state-run naturum, which is to give visitors a first insight into a protected area and awaken a desire to explore nature.

The exhibition Porten till Kullaberg (The Gateway to Kullaberg) shows the reserve from sky to sea. At interactive modules visitors can guess bird calls, fungi, flowers and strange sea creatures. In a saltwater aquarium children can touch a starfish together with a nature guide. The staff give tips on walks and excursions in the reserve, and guided visits can be booked by email.
