About the museum
Nostalgimuseum in the village of Domarbo, about a kilometre from Strömsbergs bruk, is based on a private collection that the founder Bo (known as Bosse) began building in the 1960s. The collections range from buttons and cake tins to radio sets, bicycles, caravans, cars and buses. Many of the toys, such as the moped that was fitted to bicycles, have been kept since childhood.
In 2007 Bo and Margareta decided to open the museum to the public; before that the collections had only been shown to friends and acquaintances. Parts of the interior of the shop (handelsboden) come from the shop of his uncle and grandfather in Forsa in Hälsingland.
Since autumn 2022 the museum has been run by Margareta and the rest of the family after Bo's death. The family wants to honour him by keeping the museum open for as long as possible.
