About the museum
Erikskulle is run by Söderbykarls fornminnes- och hembygdsförening (Söderbykarl ancient monuments and local heritage association) and is sometimes called Roslagens Skansen. The area consists of several older buildings that tell the story of life in Roslagen, among them crofts from the 1700s and 1800s, a smithy, a mill and a village shop.
The museum shows local objects from the Stone Age onwards, among them the Viksbåten (the Viks boat) from the 11th century. The site also has a museum shop, a café and a flea market. The outdoor area is accessible all year round, and during the summer events and guided tours are held, which can be booked.
