About the museum
The ethno park presents the traditional architecture of the area: the hiža (traditional house), štagalj (granary), ambar (barn), krušna peć (bread oven), kukuruzana (corn crib), well and other elements of a village yard. The park’s fence is made of woven wicker, as in former times. The renovation and development of the park from 1993 to 2008 was financed by the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Veliko Trojstvo.
At the centre of the park is the house in which Josip Broz Tito once lived, and which later served as a museum space.
