About the museum
The museum is run by the Bjelovar Society for the Preservation of Croatian Military Tradition, which also manages the Muzej Operativne zone i Zbornog područja Bjelovar at Barutana. The content of the display is based on Marin Sabolović’s monograph on the genealogy of the Croatian armed forces in the period 1990–1996. Locals in Bjelovar often call it the “peace museum”, because it keeps alive the memory of the war so that it is never repeated.
