About the museum
The museum was founded in 1982 by the food company Podravka. Collecting began in 1977, and by 1980 the collections had been supplemented by purchases of ethnographic objects and agricultural machines from private individuals.
It is housed in converted buildings of the former municipal slaughterhouse from 1892, the oldest example of industrial architecture in Koprivnica. It is one of the few Croatian museums linked to a company, and it also presents the complete process of industrial production.
