About the museum
The story of Anjala manor begins in the 17th century, when Henrik Wrede gave his horse and his life for King Charles IX of Sweden; since then the manor has been part of Anjala's life. The manor is part of the Ankkapurha cultural park, whose operations are run by Ankkapurhan Kulttuurisäätiö sr (Ankkapurha Cultural Foundation). In the manor's old grain storehouse, the Makasiinikahvila (Storehouse Café) operates in summer.
In summer 2026 more than 4,500 visitors came to the manor. The manor hosts changing art exhibitions every year, which are free to enter. The manor will next open in May 2027.
