About the museum
Warpunen is a residential house built in the early 1900s for worker families in the factory housing area, near the Ankkapurha Industrial Museum. The furniture, everyday objects and handicrafts of the worker's home tell of the life of a large family in a 40-square-metre dwelling. The kitchen was a multipurpose room, and the bedroom was decorated with elaborate handicrafts. The heteka-era home includes, among other things, an original heteka with its bedding and wall textiles, as well as wooden and paper shoes from the Second World War.
