About the museum
The Eurajoen apteekkimuseo was founded in 2009, when Raija Hakola, who had worked as a pharmacist in Eurajoki, donated old objects and furniture of the Eurajoki pharmacy to the Eurajoen kotiseutuyhdistys (Eurajoki Local Heritage Association). The Eurajoki pharmacy had been founded in 1945.
The museum has gathered an original pharmacy from the 1940s and 1950s, and the collection contains about 600 objects. The pharmacy museum is the only one of its kind in the Satakunta region and rare in the whole of Finland. In 2023 the museum was placed in the former Munakari room in the agricultural museum building, and it is heated even in winter.
