About the museum
The Lapin kotiseutumuseo consists of buildings on the same hill: an old granary (aitta), church stables (kirkkotallit) and the Jokinen house (Jokisen talo). The church stables were built at the beginning of the 20th century and are an exceptional building.
The granary displays old objects of common folk, weapons, photographs and scale models. The church stables present agricultural machines, tools and the tools of a blacksmith. The Jokinen house contains household objects, objects from wartime and supplies from an old shop.
