Kangasalan Lepokoti

About the museum

Kangasala Lepokoti operated as a boarding house from 1910 to 1986. The house became known as a holiday and working place for celebrities, especially artists, and its guest list includes musicians, visual artists, actors and scientists.

The house was restored in 1996–2000. Today it presents its rich and distinctive collection of objects and its fascinating stories to visitors. Guides, who can be booked by arrangement, interpret the stories of Lepokoti.

The house is also a venue for celebrations and meetings. In April 2022 a book café returned to Lepokoti, where author guests are interviewed in front of an audience.

Up to 40 guests.

The hall has room for about 40 guests, and in summer the use of the veranda as additional space allows up to double the number of guests. The Finnen room is suitable for meetings of about 10 people; the sauna building has a sauna and a fireside room.
