About the museum
The Muurla local heritage museum operates in the Honkala house along Muurlantie, next to the sports field. The museum has operated as a local heritage museum since 1989. The house has kept its original early 20th-century appearance and feels cosier than many other museums in the area.
The main building is a cottage furnished in the early 20th-century style. In the outbuilding in the yard there is an exhibition presenting rural work. The museum has a permanent exhibition, and in summer a theme exhibition, which changes every year, is also on display.
The museum shop sells local heritage products and literature. Payment is possible in cash or with MobilePay.
